My writing on the whiteboard is misaligned with the projected image. Why won’t they line up?

When using Mimio interactively with a projector, select the pen tool and appropriate color from the Mimio Tools to record handwritten notes. How can I troubleshoot my Mimio stylus pen for Xi?

Check the batteries. Push down on the tip of the pen and you should hear a buzzing sound.  If there is no sound, then replace the batteries. Make sure EXPO brand dry-erase markers are being used. The mimio stylus pens are designed for EXPO markers. The EXPO marker should have some wiggle room in the tube. If the dry-erase marker is too tight, there may be internal wires in the stylus

How do I enter Ink Capture mode with the MimioXi and MimioTeach?

The Mimio Xi wireless USB is detected and installed (displayed as “Interactive Whiteboards – Mimio” under device manager). However, under Classroom Devices in MimioStudio settings, nothing is detected.

A running virus scanner could be blocking a certain portion of the application, causing it to configure the Mimio USB device driver. If possible, try disabling your anti-virus program while installing the Mimio software and to configure the Mimio USB device driver.
