Mimio Launches New Webinar Series on Using Its Latest Interactive Technologies for Collaborative Learning

Hosted by Educators for Educators, Professional Development Webinar Series Helps Teachers Create Engaging, Collaborative Classrooms

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Sept 17, 2014 — Mimio, developer of the MimioClassroom™ family of interactive teaching technologies, today announced its second annual professional development webinar series designed to help customers make optimal use of its technologies. Educators who are expert with Mimio’s collaborative technologies will host the fall 2014 webinars. Each of the live 30-minute sessions is offered on two separate dates to accommodate attendees’ schedules.

“The best people to teach teachers are other teachers,” said Paget Hetherington, Mimio’s director of global marketing. “All of our presenters have worked in and around classrooms for years, so they understand what session attendees have to deal with and will dispense realistic, useful advice.”

The fall 2014 series includes the following sessions:

Seamless Integration of Curriculum and Technology

This webinar explore how curriculum and technology work together seamlessly in the Mimio classroom. Attendees will receive the latest information on Mimio products that work with Apple and Android mobile devices to create an even more engaging and collaborative learning environment.

More than 1,300 educators and administrators from K-12 schools and districts across North America nominated their favorite ed-tech products or services this past spring. To maintain the integrity of the program, nominations from vendors were not accepted. Nominating educators were asked to describe how they were using each product to improve teaching, learning, or school administration—and to what effect.

Jason Schmidt, who is Instructional Technologist for Bennington Public Schools in Nebraska, a Google Education Trainer, a Moodle Certified Course Creator, and a Mimio Certified Trainer, will host the session.
