Members from our Professional Development Team will share essential skills for Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, Google Meet and more. Let’s continue to work together to create meaningful and engaging online learning experiences for students.

Join us for our informative 1 hour webinars covering the basics of transitioning to online teaching in Google and Microsoft. Each webinar will include an opportunity for Q&A, and professional development credit is available for attending any Boxlight webinar.

Google Drive
In this webinar we will introduce the most useful features to optimize the use of your Google Drive as you make the shift to online learning with your classes. Teachers will learn how to access, organize, and share their files in Google Drive during the school closures.

Google Classroom
Google Classroom is the ideal platform to host your online classroom during the school closure. In this webinar, participants will learn to set up their Google Classroom, add material and classwork, as well as posting assignments to multiple classes. Participants will also be introduced to the Stream as a tool to maintain interaction and connection with your students.

Google Meet
It is important to remain connected with our students and communities during the school closure and Google Meet has opened many advanced features during the school closures to make it a wonderful platform for live interaction. In this final webinar of the series, teachers will gain a basic understanding of how to navigate, use, and manage a Google Meet to engage with students, colleagues, and the community.

Microsoft Teams is the digital hub where teachers and students can interact in a remote classroom environment. Crafting a Collaborative Learning Environment with Microsoft Teams

In this webinar we will provide an overview of Class Notebook in Teams and its functions for Remote Learning. The Class Notebook is the shared hub for class content and can be integrated with assignments, grades, and multiple apps for education. Participants will be introduced to the Class Notebook sections and gain an understanding of their purpose and application for creating a collaborative learning environment.

Supporting Learning Initiatives with Staff Teams

Microsoft Staff and PLC Teams provide the perfect location to work with colleagues on projects, lessons, and remote learning initiatives. School administrators, teachers, and staff can communicate and collaborate in one digital location. In this webinar we will explore Teams for Staff collaboration, learn to integrate OneNote, upload files, add and respond to posts, and hold staff meetings using the Meet Now option.

Alison Ambroso – Learning and Innovation Manager at Boxlight
Alison is a Level 2 Google Certified Educator and Microsoft Master Trainer.
Alison Ambroso is the Learning and Innovation Manager at Boxlight-EOS, the professional development division of Boxlight. Alison is the leader for Google Training and leads the Google ‘Train the Trainer’ program for Clayton County Public Schools. Alison is an internationally minded educator whose education and experience have given her a well-rounded and unique skill set in the education field. Along with over 10 years of experience in education, she has completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from Keele University, UK, various certifications in training and development, and a Master of Human Resource Management with a specialization in Learning and Development. Alison has conceptualized and developed highly specialized curricula for English Language Learners in the US, South Korea, Vietnam, and Canada. Alison’s roles in education have included classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator, and program manager for a non-profit working with blind and visually impaired learners. Alison specializes in utilizing technology to make learning accessible to ALL learners.

Krista Walker – Professional Development Program Manager for Boxlight
Krista is the Professional Development Program Manager for Boxlight-EOS, coordinating large scale district PD programming. Krista is an experienced educator, community and education advocate, program development manager, and curriculum author. She has been in the Education field for over 25 years serving in Higher Education for 17+ years.

Her other roles have included Adapted Recreation Coordinator, providing 21st Century Enrichment and Academic Programming for individuals with developmental disabilities; National Director of School Programs and Professional Development for Social and Emotional Learning in K-8 schools; and Consultant for state agencies and non-profits.

Krista is a is a Microsoft Innovative Educator and a Master Trainer.
At heart Krista is an educator with the passion to make art, technology, academia, and enrichment, accessible and inclusive for all students.

Marcus Lott – Digital Learning Specialist
As a Digital Learning Specialist for Boxlight-EOS, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from K-12 education. He has been in education for six years now and has experience as a math teacher, curriculum leader, and a football coach. Marcus enjoys working with fellow educators and school administrators collaboratively to create resources and provide effective instructional strategies that can be implemented in the classroom.
